- NDS completed the nationwide implementation of the Health Organization Integrated Information System
NDS, the IT service arm of Nongshim (CEO: Kim Joong Won), successfully completed the nationwide implementation of Health Organization Integrated Information System initiated by the health policy department of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The Health Organization Integrated Information System was designed to connect all public health organizations across the nation, including public health clinic centers, with computer network to allow users to receive 8 kinds of civil services including issuance of a medical report at any health organizations around the country through the public health portal website (phi.mw.go.kr).
The project was originally initiated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare to fully implement the integrated information system in every health organization nationwide to enhance work efficiency of users and strengthen public health services.
To achieve these goals, NDS implemented and applied the integrated information system in a total of 88 public health organizations (15 in 2012 and 73 in 2011 respectively), established the test-bed of the user-focused performance, statistics and analysis system (EUC), replaced obsolescent equipment and improved DW computer equipment in public health centers.
In the meantime, the project enabled the Ministry of Health and Welfare to establish the optimal work environment through prompt application of the guidance on the public health projects and automation of the performance reporting and statistics analysis and support the establishment of the national health policies by using the information held by the public organizations across the nation in real time.
An official from the Ministry of Health and Welfare revealed, “The computer system now allows us to strengthen the link between the public health projects and medical services that had long been carried out separately and create synergy effects among the projects. I expect we will be able to greatly improve work efficiency through this project”
