- NDS Strengthens Its Cloud-Based Data Business
NDS (CEO Kim Joong-won) announced on May 29 that it would concentrate the company’s capacity on the cloud-based data service business by expanding the organization’s dedication to provide specialized cloud operation services while flexibly responding to the cloud transformation demand of medium and large enterprises.
The company has deployed the Cloud Value Creation (CVC) team that is responsible for the discovery and sales of cloud-related projects within the cloud division. Two dedicated cloud service centers have been newly created, such as the Cloud Technology Center (CTC) that is responsible for cloud technology development, including migration solutions and integrated service platforms, and the Managed Service Center (MSC) that specializes in cloud service operations.
In particular, NDS has opened MSC, which is dedicated to businesses such as service control, operation, and customer technical support in other cloud environments than on-premise ones, to actively target the hybrid and multi-cloud markets in the public, financial, and manufacturing sectors.
Moreover, the company plans to differentiate cloud-based data services by adding data analysis service to the existing cloud data migration service based on years of SI experience in developing and operating enterprise applications.
NDS will also provide customized data analysis services and various tools for building and collecting cloud-based data lakes in line with the increasing demand for cloud-based big data analysis services for unstructured data, such as videos, photos, and voice.
In addition, NDS intends to actively cooperate with external specialists while fostering its own human resources to respond to the business of converting existing on-premises data warehouses to cloud environments or building new ones.
CEO Kim Joong-won said, “We have successfully completed the cloud transformation of large and small business systems with the knowledge and technology accumulated through large-scale informatization projects. Through this reorganization, we will choose cloud services and data migration, which are becoming increasingly important, as our core services and strengthen our external competitiveness.”
